Born and raised in Newfoundland, Don moved to Thunder Bay and started his career as an iron worker in construction when he was 18 years old. Since that time he has built and owned several businesses. His first business venture was the Murillo Hotel, followed by Murillo Iron Works. He was co-owner of Emerald Greens Golf Course, co-owner of Sturgeon Lake Lodge, owner of The Empire Hotel and Newfie’s Pub. His latest venture is Cannabis Plus Store. CannabisPlus Store is locally owned by Don Perry and operated by his daughter, Lori-Anne Perry and his son, Ray Perry. The store is in the back section of the brand new Newfie’s Pub building. Newfie’s Pub is owned by Don and operated by Don and Lori-Anne. Lori-Anne has been with Newfie’s Pub since its conception in 1996, starting as a bar-tender and is now general manager.
