Strains that grow natively in Thailand are referred to as Thai landrace strains. These strains were brought to the U.S. in the 70s and 90s and have spread in popularity across the globe. These pure sativa landraces are sometimes referred to as the Thai Sticks because the bud dries into long sticks.
